Under the Surface is a photography installation for Inspired by the Sea that represents the reality of surfing compared to the glossy image perceived by the media. At the bottom of the wave shape are photos of driving to the beach or checking the surf, as they get closer to the surface and the wave shape they go from paddling about to photos of surfing.
I took the photos on a Lomo fish eye camera which gives the a large 170 degree perspective and surfers eye view. To view some of my surf photography click here.
